The Turkish Defense Ministry announced on Sunday the neutralization of 8 terrorists from the separatist PKK organization in northern Iraq and Syria.

The ministry stated in a post on the “X” platform that Turkish forces neutralized 2 of the organization’s terrorists in the “Claw-Lock” operation area in northern Iraq.

It also noted the neutralization of 6 terrorists from the organization’s arm in Syria, the “YPG/PKK”, in the north of the country, and stressed the continuation of the fight against terrorism with all determination.

Turkey is carrying out operations to combat the terrorist organization “PKK”, which targets its forces and citizens, and is active in several countries in the region, including Syria, Iraq and Iran.

The “PKK” also takes the Qandil Mountains in northern Iraq as a stronghold and is active in many cities, regions and valleys, launching attacks on the Turkish interior from there.
