Turkey Neutralizes 14 YPG terrorists in northern Syria

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday the neutralization of 14 terrorists from the separatist PKK/YPG organization in northern Syria. The ministry explained in a statement that the neutralization of the terrorists took place in the area of ​​Operation Peace Spring.

It also stressed the continuation of its struggle with determination and resolve until the region is completely cleansed of terrorism.

The Turkish forces, in cooperation with the Syrian National Army, carried out several military operations in northern Syria, including “Euphrates Shield” in 2016, “Olive Branch” in 2018, and “Peace Spring” in 2019, against the terrorist organizations ISIS and PKK/YPG.

Turkey also carries out operations to combat the terrorist organization “PKK”, which targets its forces and citizens, and is active in several countries in the region, including Syria, Iraq and Iran. The “PKK” has its stronghold in the Qandil Mountains in northern Iraq, and is active in many cities, regions and valleys, from which it launches attacks on the Turkish interior.
