Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday condemned the “heinous” attack on a Christmas market in the German city of Magdeburg.
“I strongly condemn the heinous attack that took place on the Christmas market in the German city of Magdeburg last night,” Erdogan said in a statement.
“I offer my condolences to the families of the victims and to the friendly people and government of Germany, and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” he added.
On Friday evening, a car rammed into a crowded Christmas market in the eastern German city of Magdeburg, killing four people and injuring more than 200 others, according to the latest official tally.
