A magnitude 4.2 earthquake strikes eastern Turkey

An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale on Wednesday dawn shook the state of Erzincan, eastern Turkey.

This came according to a statement published by the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management “AFAD”, on its website.

The statement pointed out that the earthquake occurred in the district of “Outlook Bali” in the aforementioned state at 00.37 local time “21.37 GMT”, and at a depth of 7.34 km.

There was no immediate news of any material or human losses as a result of the tremor.
