Turkey.. Çukurova Airport to be inaugurated on August 10

Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Oraloğlu announced the inauguration of Çukurova International Airport in the south of the country on August 10 in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Oraloğlu indicated in a statement on Thursday that the new airport will be the 58th civilian airport in Turkey.

He said: “The airport will serve 5 million of our citizens due to its proximity to Mersin, Adana, Osmaniye and Nigde.”

He stated that the widest aircraft can land on the airport’s main runway, which is 3,500 meters long and 60 meters wide.

He stated that the airport’s capacity is 8 million passengers annually, and its hall area is 110 thousand square meters.
