Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan described the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip as a “dirty spectacle,” and stressed that “history will judge those who caused them, turned a blind eye to them, and tried to legitimize them.”

This came in a speech during an event in the capital, Ankara, on Wednesday, in which he expressed his confidence that 2024 will be a year in which “the oppressors will receive the punishment they deserve, and the wounds of the oppressed will be healed.”

Erdogan pointed out that “those who are actually capable of stopping the massacres in Gaza do not do so, while those who sincerely wish to stop them do not have the ability to do so.”

He said: “It is a shame for humanity that so many countries remain shackled in the face of Israel’s brutal attacks based on massacres and theft.”

He added: “History will judge this dirty scene and those who caused it, turned a blind eye to it, and tried to legitimize it.”

He stressed his belief that “this trial should be carried out immediately and not left to history.”
