The first Turkish plane carrying humanitarian aid directed to the residents of the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to intense Israeli aircraft and artillery bombardment for 7 days, landed in Egypt on Friday.
Through its account on the “X” platform, the Turkish Red Crescent Society said that the plane carried humanitarian aid for Gaza, which was secured with the support of Turkish citizens.
The aid shipped by a military plane will be delivered to civilians in Gaza in cooperation between the Turkish Ministry of Defense and the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD).
On Thursday, Egypt called for “the necessity of providing urgent and safe access for humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.”

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement: “Egypt calls for the necessity of providing urgent and safe access for humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.”
It also called on all countries and regional and international organizations wishing to provide humanitarian and relief aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza to “deliver that aid to Al-Arish International Airport” (northeast).
At dawn on Saturday, Hamas and other Palestinian factions in Gaza launched Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” in response to “the continuing attacks by Israeli forces and settlers against the Palestinian people, their property and sanctities, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem.”
On the other hand, the Israeli army launched Operation Iron Swords and continues to launch intensive raids on many areas in the Gaza Strip, which is inhabited by more than two million Palestinians who suffer from deteriorating living conditions as a result of an ongoing Israeli siege since 2006.
