Turkey’s revenues from exporting hazelnuts during the first ten months of this year amounted to one billion and 325 million and 828 thousand and 762 US dollars.

According to the data of the farmers’ registration system, 13 Turkish provinces produce hazelnuts.
The data indicated that the Turkish hazelnut reached 129 countries and free zones in the world during the aforementioned period of this year.
The data indicated that the quantity of hazelnuts that Turkey exported during the first ten months of 2022 amounted to 239,934 tons.

Sabahattin Arslan Turk, a member of the Board of Directors of the National Hazelnut Council, said that Turkey seeks to earn about $5 billion from exporting hazelnuts in the coming years.
He explained that Turkey is also seeking to raise the exported quantity to 700,000 tons.
For his part, a member of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Chambers of Agriculture in Turkey, Arslan Sweidan, said that Turkish hazelnuts come in the first ranks in terms of quality compared to hazelnuts produced in other countries.

He added, “Turkey accounts for 75 percent of the global production of hazelnuts, and we export about 85 percent of our production.”
