President Erdogan heads to Indonesia to attend the G20 Summit

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan flew to Indonesia on Sunday evening to attend the 17th edition of the Group of Twenty Industrial Summit.

The plane carrying President Erdogan took off from Istanbul Ataturk Airport at 19:00 Turkish time.

Erdogan was seen off at the airport by his deputy, Fuat Oktay, and the head of the Justice and Development Party’s branch in Istanbul, Osman Nuri Kabbak, and other officials.

Erdogan is accompanied on his visit to Indonesia by his wife, Emine Erdogan, Foreign Ministers Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Defense Hulusi Akar, Treasury and Finance Nureddin Nebati and Agriculture Vahid Kirishci.

He is also accompanied by the spokesman for the Turkish presidency Ibrahim Kalin, the head of the communications department in the Turkish presidency, Fahrettin Altun, the head of the Defense Industries Corporation, Ismail Demir, and the spokesman for the Justice and Development Party, Omer Celik.
