A high-ranking Turkish delegation arrived Monday in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, for an official one-day visit.
The delegation includes Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez, Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and Trade Minister Mehmet Muş.

The delegation also includes the head of the communications department in the presidency, Fakhruddin Altoun, and the presidential spokesman, Ambassador Ibrahim Kalin, according to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Members of the Turkish delegation are scheduled to meet with Libyan ministers and officials.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will hold a press conference with his Libyan counterpart, Najla Al-Manqoush, after their bilateral meeting.
During the visit, the Turkish delegation will discuss ways to hold elections in Libya as soon as possible, the necessary legal infrastructure in this context, bilateral relations and issues of cooperation within the framework of the security and military cooperation agreement signed between Ankara and Tripoli in 2019.

The delegation is also expected to visit the land allocated by the Libyan authorities to build the Turkish embassy in the Tajoura area of Tripoli.
