He said in a press statement that Biden “will be frank with Israel about Washington’s efforts to reach a nuclear agreement with Iran,” according to the American “Al-Hurra” channel.

The US official’s statements came in conjunction with Biden’s arrival in Israel, on his first trip to the Middle East.

US Air Force One landed on Wednesday afternoon at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv, where Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog and Prime Minister Yair Lapid were waiting for him.

Upon his arrival, Biden stressed that the United States “will remain committed to Israel’s security.”
