This came in a speech during his participation in the “Technovist” festival for aviation and space technology, which is being held in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, and is being organized for the first time outside Turkey.
Aliyev added: “The more steps Turkey and Azerbaijan take for the union, the stronger the peace and stability in our region, which the world witnessed during the second Karabakh war.”
He explained that Ankara stood by Baku during the aforementioned war, stressing that the Azerbaijani people will not forget the Turkish support.
He noted that Turkish-Azerbaijani relations have a bright history, adding that the two countries raised them to the level of an alliance by signing the “Shusha Declaration” last year.

In mid-June 2021, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his counterpart Aliyev signed the “Shusha Declaration” during their visit to the city of “Shusha” in the “Karabakh” region liberated from the Armenian occupation.
The declaration included a road map in several areas, including defense industries technologies, energy, transportation, economics, and human relations.
