Amazon announces the establishment of its logistics base in Turkey

The American company “Amazon” announced that it will open its first logistics base in Turkey in Istanbul in the fall of this year, and that it will provide job opportunities for more than a thousand people in its first factor.

The company said in a statement on Wednesday that it planned to establish the logistics base in Turkey, with an investment of more than $100 million, in order to meet the growing demand.

It stated that she officially started her commercial activities in Turkey in September 2018.

It provided its clients with affordable prices, fast and reliable delivery options, as well as providing job opportunities for more than 500 people.

In turn, the head of the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, Ahmet Burak Daglioğlu, confirmed in a statement.

Turkey, with its strong economy, infrastructure, manpower and strategic location, has become the center of attention for international investors.

He added that Turkey offers international investors services in various fields such as research and development, design, production, logistics and management.

For his part, Stefano Perego, Vice President of Amazon Operations in Europe, expressed his happiness at the opening of the first logistics base in Istanbul, stressing the confidence they place in Turkey.

He pointed out that the logistic base will provide in the first year more than a thousand diverse and comprehensive job opportunities for different educational experiences and backgrounds in a modern work environment with satisfactory wages and benefits.
