On Thursday, the Turkish capital, Ankara, witnessed the inauguration of an educational complex named after the Turkish scientist Aziz Sinjar, who won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2015.
The inauguration was attended by Ministers of Education Mahmoud Ozer, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, and scientist Aziz Sinjar, among other officials.

In a video message he sent on the occasion of the opening of the “Aziz Sinjar Educational Complex”, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan wished that the complex would be a good means, and thanked Sinjar for attending the opening of the complex.
Erdogan said that the government will begin to reap the fruits of the investments it has made in the field of education over the past 20 years.
He continued, “As our country moves forward in line with its goals for 2023, it is also creating the necessary infrastructure to train its cadres.
Those who will achieve success in science, culture, art, sports and many other fields.”

He added, “This modern educational complex that we inaugurated today is an expression of our gratitude to Aziz Sinjar as well as a demonstration of the importance we attach to the education of our children.”
And he added, “Our children, who will receive education and training under the roof of this complex for decades, will represent our nation in the best way on the stage of history with Nobel Prizes they will receive like our teacher Aziz Sinjar.”
The President also thanked everyone who contributed to the establishment of the complex.
Sengar, along with his Swedish colleagues Thomas Lindahl and American Paul Modrich, won the 2015 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
