Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov expressed at a press conference his country’s “concern” about the situation in the Black Sea and “the provocations by the United States and NATO (NATO) in the region,” according to “Sputnik”.
“We are really concerned about what is happening in the Black Sea region, this continuous series of provocations by the United States, NATO allies, and some agents of these countries in the region,” he said.
Earlier this week, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that “NATO exercises in the Black Sea are linked to the intention of the United States and its allies to escalate the containment policy of Russia.”
