Human rights activist Imad Abu Shamsiya said that Mrs. Jihan Eseifan (46 years), from the Wadi Al-Hussein area in central Hebron, was attacked by armed settlers from the Kiryat Arba settlement.
He indicated that she sustained bruises in the chest area, and was subsequently transferred to Alia Governmental Hospital for treatment.
Abu Shamsiya pointed out that the attack took place after a group of settlers attacked the homes of citizens, and the residents tried to repel them.
Palestinians in that area are usually subjected to frequent attacks by settlers.
The data indicate that in 1968, Israel built the “Kiryat Arba” settlement on the outskirts of the Old City of Hebron, and is inhabited by about 7,600 Israeli settlers.
