Istanbul airports witnessed an increase in the number of passengers during the first 9 months of this year, as 70 million 124 thousand and 741 passengers used them during this period.

The number of passengers at the city’s airports during this period increased by 27 million, 487 thousand and 713 passengers, compared to the first nine months of last year.
According to data from the General Directorate of Airport Management of Turkey (DHMİ), 47,571 thousand and 888 passengers used Istanbul International Airport during the period between January and September 2022.
The rate of increase in international airline passengers at Istanbul Airport reached 102 percent during this period, and their number reached 35 million and 385 thousand and 139 passengers.
Through Sabiha Gokcen International Airport, 22,552 thousand and 853 passengers traveled, including 11 million 164 thousand and 61 passengers on international lines.

The total number of passengers who traveled through Istanbul airports during the first 9 months of this year reached 70,124,741 passengers, including 46,549,200 passengers on international lines.
