The channel said that the $800 million military aid to Ukraine announced by US President Joe Biden on Wednesday includes sending 100 tactical marches.

It quoted a US official as saying that “the 100 marches bound for Ukraine are Switchblade small drones.”

The channel indicated that these aforementioned marches are not like the large marches that you usually see, but are small drones, the smallest model of which can be placed in backpacks.

It added that these tactical “Switchblade” drones fly directly towards the target to detonate their small warhead.

The Switchblade 300 drones can fly for up to 15 minutes after launch, and weigh just 2.49 kilograms, according to the US company, AeroVironment.

The larger Switchblade 600 drones are effective against armored targets and can fly for more than 40 minutes, but weigh 22.68 kilograms.

The channel indicated that the US official could not determine whether one or both of the two systems would be sent to Ukraine as part of the military aid.

And on Wednesday evening, US President Joe Biden announced, during a speech at the White House, new military aid to Ukraine worth $800 million, including drones, to support its forces in the face of the Russian military operation.
