President Erdogan returns to Turkey after concluding Balkan tour

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan concluded his Balkan tour Thursday, returning home from Croatia.

The Turkish President’s plane took off at 21:15 Turkish time (GMT 3) from Zagreb International Airport.

Erdogan was seen off by the Turkish ambassador to Zagreb, Mustafa Hezlan, the Croatian ambassador to Ankara, Kharvoi Svetanovic, and a number of officials in the two countries.

The Turkish president was accompanied on his visit by his wife Emine Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu, Defense Hulusi Akar, Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, Agriculture and Forestry Vahid Kirishci, Trade Mehmet Muş, Transport and Infrastructure Adil Kara Ismailoglu.

The delegation also included Head of Religious Affairs Ali Erbash, Head of the Communication Department at the Presidency of the Republic, Fakhruddin Altun, Presidential Spokesman Ibrahim Kalin, and Head of the Defense Industries Authority Ismail Demir.

It is noteworthy that the Balkan tour lasted from 6 to 8 September and included Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia.
