The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) announced a rise in the share of global e-commerce sales.

Total retail sales increased by 19 percent in the last year 2020.

In a report issued Monday, the conference stated that isolation measures to combat the outbreak of the Coronavirus have contributed to the boom in e-commerce as a safe way to shop instead of directly visiting stores.
