Erdogan shares Turkey’s view of challenges facing Europe

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan intends to present his views on the challenges facing the European continent at all levels during his participation in the meeting of the European Political Group in the Czech capital Prague.

A statement by the Turkish Presidency Communication Department said Thursday that Erdogan is participating in the first meeting of the group at the invitation of the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of the current session of the European Union, Czech Prime Minister Peter Viala.

The summit will witness the participation of the leaders of the European Union countries, the candidate countries for accession and some other countries of the continent.

During the summit, which witnesses the participation of 44 European countries, Erdogan will express Turkey’s views on the current challenges facing the continent in terms of security, peace, energy, climate and economy, the statement added.

He pointed out that Erdogan is expected to hold a series of bilateral meetings with the participating leaders and officials.

Earlier on Thursday, President Erdogan traveled to the Czech capital, Prague, to participate in the first meeting of the European Political Group.

The accompanying Turkish delegation includes Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, and Presidential Spokesman Ibrahim Kalin.
