Large-scale fires that started five days ago in more than 100 locations in Turkey are spreading to other regions.

Earlier, Turkey’s Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bekir Pakdemirli said that part of the 107 large-scale forest fires in Turkey are still out of control and that the efforts of 700 firefighters are continuing.

Meanwhile, Ankara has requested assistance from other countries to help put out the fires.

Currently, 45 helicopters, more than 755 fire engines, a tanker, an ambulance, and thousands of government aid workers and volunteers are on site.

An important part of the Turkish authorities’ concerns is that the fire may have a long-term impact on the economies of the provinces of Mugla, Bodrum, Antalya, Izmir and Istanbul.
