Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said that his country is practicing diplomacy with a real approach without compromising on principles.

Çavuşoğlu made it clear that Turkey is pursuing a realistic foreign policy based on the superiority of the diplomatic initiative, indicating that Ankara has a proactive approach to diplomacy rather than reaction.

Çavuşoğlu pointed out that the Turkish-African summit that was held in Istanbul last week is evidence of the effectiveness and strength of foreign policy.

He pointed out that Ankara adopts an active role in efforts to peacefully resolve problems in many countries such as Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Ethiopia, Guinea, and Mali.

Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkish universities and research centers play a large and important role in the success of Turkey’s foreign policy.

He added that the effects of modern challenges such as climate change, terrorism, cyber-attacks, irregular migration, and epidemics are starting to appear everywhere.

On the tense relations between Russia and Ukraine, Çavuşoğlu said that this tension has reached a high level and that it is necessary to calm the situation through diplomatic channels.
