Çavuşoğlu stressed during a live interview on the state-run TRT Haber channel that Turkey and Azerbaijan want peace and stability in the South Caucasus region to benefit all parties.

He pointed out that the “Middle Corridor” that passes from Azerbaijan and Turkey gained importance after the flow of goods to Western countries through Russia stopped following its war with Ukraine.

Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkey and Azerbaijan are sincere in their intention for peace, stressing his country’s desire to see Armenia’s sincerity in deeds, not words.

He added, “We have not yet seen concrete steps from Armenia… including the ‘Zanjazur’ project and other projects or the Comprehensive Peace Agreement… which means that it is imperative for the Pashinyan government to take positive steps on these issues for the sake of peace.”
