Today, the energy and oil ministers of the four countries held a meeting in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

At the invitation of the latter, they agreed to revive the Arab line for the transmission of gas and electricity.

Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Hala Zawati said in a press conference after the meeting.

The Arabic line needs technical reforms to ensure the readiness of the infrastructure to supply Egyptian gas to Lebanon.

Lebanon suffers from a severe shortage of electricity supplies due to the shortage of fuel needed for power generation, in addition to a sharp rise in the prices of derivatives due to the collapse of the lira and the lack of foreign exchange needed for import.
