“Turkish Defense Industries” the Most Exported in 2024

The Turkish Presidency’s Defense Industries Authority announced a list of the country’s 10 companies that achieved the highest exports in the defense and aviation sector last year.

According to data published by the authority on Saturday, the 10 most exporting companies were as follows: Baykar, Tusas Aviation, Asfat, and Mechanical and Chemical Industries.

In addition to Arka Defense, Tusas Motors, Aselsan, Ram Foreign Trade (Otokar), Roketsan, and Samsun Yurt Defense.

Baykar, a leading company in the field of drones, achieved exports worth $1.8 billion, ranking first on the list, while Tusas Aviation came in second place with exports worth $750 million, followed by Asfat with $644 million.

Mechanical and Chemical Industries companies achieved $610 million, Arka Defense $600 million, Tusas Motors $390 million, and Aselsan $217 million.

Ram Foreign Trade (Otokar) achieved $193 million, Roketsan $179 million, and Samsun Yurt Defense $166 million. Other services and sales were not included in the export figures.

Commenting on the data via the X platform, the Chairman of the Turkish Defense Industries Authority Haluk Görgün said, “Success is for all of us, pride is for Turkey.”

He added, “Today we proudly announce 10 Turkish companies that have taken a leading role in the export of defense and aviation products.” Görgün also expressed his gratitude to all Turkish defense industry companies that have changed the doctrine of world war with their technologies.

He stressed that the architect of this success is the country’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, whose “strong will has contributed to making Turkey a global brand on the path to complete independence in the defense industry.”
