The number of tourists participating in thermal balloon flights in the Cappadocia region in the state of Nosehir in central Turkey during the first nine months of this year reached 508,181 tourists.

This came according to the latest data revealed by the state of Noshahir on Wednesday about the number of tourists who visited the Cappadocia region this year.

The data showed that the number of tourists who visited the region since the beginning of this year amounted to 3 million and 116 thousand and 993 tourists.

The region is characterized by one of the most exotic and beautiful landscapes in the world and has been classified by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization “UNESCO” as a World Heritage Site.

The area is most famous for its “chimneys of fairies” or “devil tables”, which are stones in the form of columns topped with rocks that look like mushrooms and were formed naturally as a result of the influence of wind and weather factors on the volcanic rocks that abound in the region.
