The head of Turkey’s Supreme Electoral Council, Ahmed Yanar, announced that 36 parties have won the right to participate in the presidential and parliamentary elections scheduled for May 14.
This came in press statements on Saturday, following a meeting about the elections that will take place on May 14.
He pointed out that it was decided during the meeting that 36 parties (that meet the required conditions) are entitled to participate in the electoral process.

On Friday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued a presidential decree advancing the date of the presidential and parliamentary elections from June 18 to May 14.
