The company has developed a new application called InJobs to replace LinkedIn in the country.

It was announced that InJobs that maintains LinkedIn’s ability to connect with others will not have social engagement opportunities.

LinkedIn, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2016, stopped recruiting new members in the country in March.

In May, China discovered that Microsoft’s search engine Bing and LinkedIn were using user information inappropriately and demanded a solution to the problem.

Google is taking action against digital ads that promote false information about climate change or use such content to make money.

Google will remove climate denial ads to reduce revenue for climate deniers and stop the spread of misinformation on their platforms.

In a statement issued by the company, it was stated that this new policy will also apply to YouTube.

which announced last week a blanket ban on vaccine misinformation.

Advertisers do not want their ads to appear alongside such content, the statement said.

On the other hand, it was noted that publishers and content creators on YouTube “do not want ads promoting these claims to appear on their pages or videos”.

The statement said the restrictions would prevent “advertising content and monetization that conflicts with the scientific consensus on the existence and causes of climate change.”

Google will use both automated tools and human reviewers to enforce the policy, which will take effect in November for publishers and YouTube creators in December for advertisers.

Advertising will continue to be allowed on content related to other topics, such as ‘climate policy’ or ‘public discussions about the changing impacts of climate change.

Instagram has announced that it has suspended its developed app for children under the age of 13 due to criticism.

Facebook internal reports published by The WallStreet Journal last week revealed that Instagram’s negative impact on youth is well known to the company.

Despite this, Instagram’s work on an app for children under the age of 13 caused a public backlash.

Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri said the company “will work with families, experts, decision-makers, and supervisors to listen to their concerns and demonstrate the value and importance of the project to young teens.”

He had expressed their belief that Instagram, which was bought by Facebook in 2012, would be a better application if it had a platform specifically for children under the age of 13.

Mosseri said companies like YouTube and TikTok also have age-specific apps.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with the youth as part of the library talks and spoke about Canal Istanbul. President Erdoğan’s statement came as follows:

“Canal Istanbul is actually an 11-year-old project, it’s a step we took when I was the mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

It is imperative that we take a step towards Kanal Istanbul, as the Bosphorus strait poses a threat to the massacre of the environment at any moment.

Especially at the point of bends, where the Bosphorus has the advantage that ships may experience what we call a rudder lock situation in some places.

There are places where they cannot maneuver when necessary, and there have been accidents in the Bosphorus several times.

And the last time a Russian warship was there, you know, it had an accident, unfortunately.

Once the Romanian oil tanker was, unfortunately, a fire threat in Istanbul Selimiye, and the Romanian tanker burned there for about 7 months.

The dry cargo ship came and laid it onshore at Kandilli, so shall we never learn anything from it?

We need to learn from these disasters, especially since the Bosphorus, through which 45,000 ships pass annually, cannot carry this traffic any longer.

Current forecasts indicate that this number will reach 78,000 in 2050, and traffic is constantly increasing.

However, the capacity of the safe passage of the strait is only 25,000, since we were not able to close the Bosphorus to the passage of ships.

We now have the only chance to face the increased traffic, which is Kanal Istanbul.

We told both sides of the 500,000-person Canal Istanbul included in the project, let’s build a city.

And while creating this for both sides, we’re taking steps that we call urban planning, you know, it’s high-quality construction at the drop-off point, also in Istanbul and all over Turkey.

For example, there is a problem in Avcilar in Istanbul, which is the earthquake problem, let’s say to our compatriots here, look, there are very beautiful houses here.

Let’s show them as a solution to earthquake threats from different parts of Istanbul and move them here, so let’s save our people from these threats.

And our goal is the horizontal architecture, not the vertical architecture on either side of this channel, the +4 floor didn’t know +5…no more.

We said, “Let’s do this around Kanal Istanbul in Istanbul with an architecture that makes it look very beautiful with such a structure.”

51 scientists from 11 different universities and a total of 204 experts serve here.

As a result of this task, the canal is 45 kilometers long, at least 275 meters wide, 20.7 meters deep, and say 21, and this depth is called into question.

Studies have shown that the movement of ships in the Istanbul Canal will be 13 times safer than in the Bosphorus.

This is given that there is a 13 times safer situation, so does it make sense for us to continue the resistance in the Bosphorus?

Big tankers and cargo ships, we will have to close the Bosphorus to them and take them all to our Istanbul Canal.

We cannot leave such a project that will bring a new era to our country at the mercy of the opposition, our goal with Kanal Istanbul is first-class:

  • Elimination of environmental danger
  • Eliminate all accidents in Istanbul to a large extent
  • Provide a more healthy movement.

And another step here with ports and marinas, this project will have an exceptional place in the world.

We will make it pointable, the opposition’s approach to this issue is very, very ugly, and if we thank them, we can do nothing.”

The Turkish Hotel Operators Association and Google have signed a cooperation protocol to support tourism companies in digital transformation due to the spread of the Corona epidemic.

A ceremony to sign the protocol was held at Ciragan Palace in Istanbul, in the presence of the Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.

In a speech during the ceremony, Ersoy expressed his wishes that the protocol will benefit the tourism sector in Turkey and its workers.

He pointed out that the world is on the verge of returning to its normal course with slow, but confident steps, after a path fraught with great problems, which it took for a year and a half due to the epidemic.

“We started using the concept of returning to normalcy more and more comfortably,” he said.

But we must not ignore that the world has changed and is no longer the same as before, and we are beginning to see the emergence of new concepts and approaches, especially in tourism.”

He stressed that Turkey applies for the safe tourism program with sensitivity and discipline in every place from airports to tourist cars, cultural and artistic facilities, and parks.

The Turkish minister also pointed out that digital platforms that provide comprehensive solutions in vacation planning influence people’s vacation choices.

He added, “With pleasure, I say that our “go turkey” website has recorded a great success story in its field, as we have implemented a digital platform covering 81 states and all tourism experiences in our country.”

And he added, “The site is an example of digital innovation in the world thanks to the quality of the content it provides, the diversity of its options, the large number of visitors, and the rate of satisfaction with it.”

He indicated that the site provides its services in ten different languages, especially Turkish and English, and an average of 6 million people visit it monthly.

The minister praised the protocol signed between the Federation of Hotel Operators and Google Turkey, which includes education, technology, and information exchange.

The protocol aims to unite the efforts of the Hotel Operators Association of Turkey and Google to support tourism companies in the process of digital transformation, which has become mandatory due to the conditions of the Coronavirus epidemic.

The social media giant Facebook has apologized, explaining that the blocking of Canadian users from their pro-Palestine posts “was due to a technical glitch.”

Facebook Canada announced that the problem was caused by a “technical glitch” after some users complained that their posts about violence in Palestine had disappeared or their opinions had been deleted in the past few weeks.

The company apologized for the issue affecting users from sharing information.

The Gaza government was also blamed on social networks: accounts sharing Palestine were closed.

“This mistake should never have happened,” the statement said. “It is designed to give everyone a voice and keep them safe in our practices, and we apply these policies equally to who they are.”

On the other hand, there was no information on whether the pro-Israel broadcast or any other Middle Eastern content was affected by this issue.

The politician who spread the Palestinian flag on social media was expelled in Austria.

Speaking to CBC, Palestinian supporters claimed that their posts on their social media accounts had disappeared, and that Facebook had banned content related to the recent violence.

Despite all the obstacles, social media users who support the events in Palestine with their publications have greatly contributed to the formation of public opinion in the world.

Those who have mobilized followers on social media sites such as Facebook have recently announced restrictions on their pro-Palestinian posts.

On Friday, Facebook announced the suspension of the account of former US President Donald Trump for two years, starting from the date of its suspension on January 7.

Facebook’s decision came after the company’s oversight board criticized the decision to ban Trump’s account “indefinitely”, which prompted it to set a timetable for his possible return, according to the American newspaper “Politico”.

“Given the seriousness of the circumstances that prompted Trump’s account to be suspended,” said Nick Clegg, the company’s vice president for global affairs.

We believe his actions constitute a flagrant violation of our rules, and deserve the maximum penalty available under the new protocols.”

“Therefore, we have decided to suspend Trump’s account for a period of two years, starting from the date of the initial suspension on January 7,” he added in a statement.

After the two years are up, the statement said, “experts will assess the conditions to see if Trump will be allowed to return.

If we determine that there is still a serious public safety risk, we will extend the ban for a specified period of time, and will continue to reassess until the risk has subsided.”

On January 7, Facebook decided to ban Trump’s account for “inciting violence that led to the bloody riots in the Capitol Building” on January 6, according to a statement issued by the company’s oversight board.

It is reported that the Twitter platform also banned Trump’s account permanently last January, for the same reason.

New regulations on social media have been prepared in Canada, and according to the proposal, Canadian content will be prioritized on music, video and film platforms.

This is one of the strongest regulations that a Western country applies to social media.

Canada is also preparing to take an initiative to highlight local content on social media.

The newly prepared bill requires music and video sharing sites such as Youtube and TikTok and movie platforms to “give priority to Canadian content.”

If the regulation becomes law, Canadian artists will appear first on the page when a user searches for music.

On film platforms, more Canadian works will be listed on the homepage.

The regulation that sparked controversy

The proposal is the most stringent regulation of social media ever introduced by a Western country, and has criticized the law as an “assault on freedom of thought”.

The fact that the state will decide what to watch is also seen as a limitation on personal liberties.

Hollywood productions

Proponents of the regulation state that the proposal is intended to reduce cultural pressure and accommodate the United States, and argue that the Canadian film and music industry could rise again.

It is known that Hollywood products are mainly offered to users on the platforms.

Addressing parallel views of American politics, especially in films and television series, has been a topic of debate for many years.

In an attempt to circumvent the “algorithms” of the communication platforms that have tightened the screws on publications supporting the Palestinian cause.

Egyptian tweeters have resorted to using apps that strip dots from the letters to ensure the continuation of online support for the Palestinian uprising.

The algorithms of social media platforms are software and automatic equations that social media sites use, most notably Facebook and Twitter, to measure the quality of the posts, photos and videos posted on those sites.

And in conjunction with the “brutal” Israeli attacks on the Palestinian territories.

The pioneers of social media platforms in Egypt launched hashtags in solidarity with the Palestinians, but many of them were banned under the pretext of “violating standards.”

In order to disperse the algorithms of these platforms, the tweeters in Egypt resorted to using the ancient, unstolved Arabic writing.

Using electronic applications, points are removed from letters, and others have added periods, commas, and foreign letters in the middle of Arabic words.

Among these tweets was what the activist Najla Mustafa wrote, in which she said: “I am a Palestinian, a country, a land, and an Israeli is a local one who has no home.”

On her tweet, Mustafa meant: “Palestine is Arab and will remain Arab, and the land is our land, and Israel is an occupier that has no land or home.”

According to a report issued by the Arab Center for the Development of Social Media (non-governmental / Palestinian) on May 9.

Hundreds of publications and accounts documenting Israeli violations were deleted, so that the volume of content removal and account suspension cases became clear and explicit evidence of the systematic targeting of this content.

The Center called on “Facebook and Twitter to immediately stop exercising censorship, restore accounts and the content of Palestinian voices, open an investigation into the deletions and remove, and share investigations in a public and transparent manner.”

The two sites have not commented on these accusations to date, but they usually confirm that they are working to protect freedom of expression for everyone.

On Thursday, the Israeli aggression on Gaza entered its 11th day, and the number of its victims reached 230 martyrs, including 65 children, 39 women and 17 elderly, and in addition to 1710 wounded, according to the Ministry of Health.

While 29 Palestinians, including 4 children, were killed, and nearly 7,000 were wounded in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, during clashes with the Israeli army.

They use live and metal bullets and tear gas canisters to disperse protesters.
