Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu on Monday met with the Director-General of the Malaysian Maritime Law Enforcement Agency, Rear Admiral Muhammed Zobel Matt Som.

The Turkish Interior Ministry said in a statement that Soylu met the Malaysian official and his accompanying delegation in the capital, Ankara.

She added that the Turkish and Malaysian sides discussed cooperation between the Turkish and Malaysian coast guard commands.

Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu announced the neutralization of 3 terrorists in the eastern state of Van, one of whom is on the orange list of wanted persons.

Soylu said in a tweet on Thursday that the security forces, within the framework of Operation “Arn Siege-35”, neutralized 3 terrorists from the “PKK” organization in the countryside of “Khan Yaylasi”.

He added that one of these terrorists occupies the position of what is known as a “region official” and is on the orange list of wanted persons.

In another statement, the Ministry of Interior indicated the continuation of the operation against the terrorist organization.

The Ministry of Interior began a series of “ARN” operations against the terrorist “PKK” in January 2021.

It is noteworthy that the name “Arn” was given to these operations in relation to the Turkish young man, Arn Bulbul, who was martyred by terrorists of the organization on August 11, 2017.

A high-ranking Turkish delegation is heading to Pakistan to see the rescue work in the flood areas.

Turkish sources said that the delegation is headed by Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu, the Environment, Urban Development and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum.

The Turkish delegation includes the head of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, Yunus Sezer, the head of the Housing Corporation, Omar Bulut, and representatives of civil society organizations.

It is expected that the Turkish delegation will be briefed on the extent of the damage in areas hit by floods due to heavy monsoon rains, in order to set the relief agenda accordingly.

And last Monday, the Pakistani authorities announced that the death toll from the floods sweeping the country had risen to 1,138 dead and 1,634 injured.

More than 3,451 km of roads, 162 bridges, 170 shops and 949,858 homes were damaged across the country, according to the National Disaster Management Authority.

The Turkish authorities in Diyarbakir province, in the southeast of the country, managed to neutralize two terrorists during a joint operation between the gendarmerie forces and security forces.

A statement issued by the Turkish Interior Ministry on Monday said the two terrorists were in the process of carrying out an attack.

The statement added: “After that, the security forces and the gendarmerie carried out a joint operation within the framework of Operation (Aran – Siege 21), during which they were able to neutralize the terrorist Negati Otgu, nicknamed (Azat Kendal) and another nicknamed (Mazloum).”

He explained that the security operation was carried out with air support, with the participation of local “Atac” helicopters and a drone.

As a result of the investigations, it was found that one of the terrorists was involved in an armed attack on a civilian gathering in the capital, Ankara, in 2016.

The Turkish security sources indicated that the terrorist was also pursued by the Red Notice and by the international agency “Interpol”.

Commenting on the matter, Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said that they had been watching the terrorist “Otgu” for a long time.

Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said that coast guard teams have rescued 33,745 irregular migrants since 2020 in the waters of the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas.

This came in a speech delivered by the Minister on Friday during an event held under the leadership of the Coast Guard on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of its founding.

Soylu said that Turkish Coast Guard crews rescued 19,812 migrants as part of search and rescue activities in 2021, breaking the record for the last six years.

He added, “The (Coast Guard) command has saved 33,745 people from death and the oppression of the Greek side since the year 2020,” which usually pushes migrants towards Turkish waters.

The minister pointed out that the migrants rescued by the Turkish coast guard crews had been pushed by the Greek side towards Turkish territorial waters.

Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said on Thursday that his country plans to build about 250,000 homes in northern Syria with the aim of providing the voluntary return of one million Syrians.

Soylu explained in a local television interview that Turkey has prepared 13 projects, including the construction of 250,000 homes in the areas of Al-Bab, Jarabulus, Ras Al-Ain and Tal Abyad.

He added that the financing of these projects will be from international relief organizations, stressing that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will announce to the public opinion the details of the plan at a later time.

He pointed out that the project targets Syrians who have been granted temporary protection in Turkey, and that it grants Syrians the right to benefit from homes for a period of 5 or 10 years.

Soylu said that the film was “a lie and a lack of literature, and it aims to incite Turkish society and stir up feelings of hatred and hatred against the government.”

He confirmed that 41.54 percent of the accounts that attacked the government after the movie are bot accounts, and 58.46 percent of them are fake accounts.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed that his country’s army will continue to storm all the hideouts of PKK terrorists in northern Iraq.
