Istanbul International Airport ranked first among the busiest airports throughout Europe with its average daily flights between 13 and 19 November.
According to a report issued by the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL) on Thursday, the average flights at Istanbul Airport reached 1,297 flights per day.
The organization’s report, which covers the period from November 13 to 19, showed that Istanbul Airport was the busiest among airports in all of Europe.
Heathrow Airport in the British capital, London, came in second place with 1,254 daily flights, followed by Schiphol Airport in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam, with 1,227 flights.
