NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is on an official visit to Turkey on Thursday to show solidarity and offer condolences for the victims of the earthquake that struck the south of the country at dawn on February 6.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday that Stoltenberg’s visit comes within the framework of affirming NATO’s solidarity with Turkey in facing the effects of the Jens Stoltenberg.
The statement added that Stoltenberg’s visit to Turkey will last for two days.

He indicated that Stoltenberg is expected to meet during his visit with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
Stoltenberg is also scheduled to visit the earthquake-affected areas.
On February 6, two successive earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 occurred in southern Turkey and northern Syria, causing great loss of life and property.
