Addressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said: “You should know that you will inevitably leave.”

Erdogan said in a speech he delivered during the opening ceremony of a local project on Sunday that these days “are considered beautiful for Netanyahu compared to what he expects.”

He continued: “Why? Those grandparents, those children, those between the ages of 3 and 5 years old wrapped in shrouds, those mothers who smelled the bodies of these martyred children and took them to the grave, their curses will not let you succeed.”

He added: “Netanyahu, you must know that you will inevitably leave. The curse of the oppressed will follow you throughout your life.”

Erdogan indicated that his country is dealing with what is happening in Gaza “from a humanitarian perspective only.”

He stated that Turkey is aware of its responsibilities and seeks to fulfill them through “calm and wise” steps, stressing that it has “never failed in its history those who place their hopes in its people.”
